Pet Express Pawsome Twosome Summer and Rasta Bulgogi

You all know by now how it has become my furkids and mine’s tradition to join Pet Express’ Events. The Pawsome Twosome Summer Fashion Show is not even an exception!

The sad part however is that we were not able to make it on time. Yeah, I know that traffic is a given here in Quezon City, especially on a Sunday–near every mall. We really should have left earlier!

Despite the circumstances, I would still like to thank the Pet Express Management team for recognizing Bulgogi’s costume. Thank you guys! You made Rasta Bulgogi happy ^__^ We appreciate your kind gesture of offering us to still walk the runway. It’s just that we really couldn’t do it since it would be unfair for those who came in on time.

Pet Express’ Doggie Pool Party and Pet Buffet: Summer Get Together!

We’re always present whenever there’s a PetExpress event. For us, this is a good opportunity to expose our furkids to other furpals. I could only imagine how hard it must be for them seeing the same faces over and over that these get-togethers help a whole lot.

Last May 23, 2015, Pet Express organized a Doggie Pool Party and Pet Buffet at SM North Edsa Sky Garden. We decided that instead of bringing the tandem, Jambalaya and Bulgogi, why not make this Mustard’s debut? So off we went!

Mustard was a bit shy at first. After we have registered him, he resolved to just hide underneath the tables. Of course, this made people laugh. His twisted charisma was all over the place!

We waited for him to adjust and finally mingle with everyone. This is a big deal for us because Mustard is our great Parvo Survivor. We love him to the bones and we know that his courage and strength is unequaled. Good thing, a Dalmatian by the name of Nikkie arrived and played with everyone. Her aura was inviting and friendly and everyone joined in her ruckus!

Our little Mustard opened up a lot. He approached other furkids and encouraged them to play. He was running all over the place! We were even asked by several pet parents if they can have a photo with our little firecracker. Of course we said yes!!!! This is me being proud –>  ヾ(≧∇≦)〃ヾ(≧∇≦)〃

The Pet Express Management Team handed us food for our furkids and they were wolfed down immediately. We were also eyeing the pool since I know that this proves to be one of the toughest challenges for every Frenchie.

We tried dipping Mustard onto the pool and we were not surprised how much he despised the water. No swimming for Mustard since this day (also thanks Pet Express for the towel ❤ )!

The day was fun-filled. We sincerely thank the Pet Express SM North Management for making my furball feel welcomed. Thank you to Nikkie, Pulot, Winkle, Peanut, Chichi 1, Chichi 2, and the brown Poodle (sorry I forgot to ask his name 😦 ) for playing along Mustard and to all pet parents, cheers to us!!!

The World of DC Comics Exhibit: Nerdy Wandering

At times, it takes a lot of courage to admit that I enjoy little nerdy things. I am a huge DC fan and I am obsessed with Harley Quinn and Joker (and yes, I am not in favor of Jared Leto). ( ̄へ ̄)

Last April, SM North Edsa showcased a huge collection of DC Memorabilia and I was happy as a flea in a doghouse! I practically begged my partner to accompany me despite having work later that day…and yeah, I was not disappointed. The collection was huge!!! It ranged from action figures, medals, and even first issues of comic books.

Let me share with you the photos I took!!! Enjoy fellow geeky friends!

Superman

Superman once wielded Thor’s Hammer in the epic crossover of JLA/Avengers. He accomplished this not because he was a Super-man, but because he was “Worthy”. Source

Batman

The first time Batman that was ever depicted in a movie that had any kind of release was “Batman, Dracula” in 1964, directed and produced by none other than Andy Warhol. Source.

The Rest of the Justice League

In 2007, the storyline for JUSTICE LEAGUE THE MOVIE was unveiled – the story was based on DC Comics’ Justice League – The New Frontier story featuring superheroes forming up to fight JLA and The New 52 – an alien race contriving to annihilate Earth and its inhabitants. Source

Harley Quinn and the Joker

Robin Williams was offered the role of The Joker when Jack Nicholson hesitated. He had even accepted the role, when producers approached Nicholson again and told him Williams would take the part if he didn’t. Nicholson took the role and Williams was released. Williams resented being used as bait, and refused not only to play The Riddler in Batman Forever (1995) but to be involved in any Warner Bros. productions until the studio apologized. Source
