Where to Eat Tidbits: Rai Rai Ken Cubao

Rai Rai Ken Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

If you haven’t heard of Rai Rai Ken yet, I don’t think we’re living in the same planet! Kidding aside, Rai Rai Ken is the forefather of Ramen restaurants here in the country. I have been dining at Rai Rai Ken ever since I was 9! Through the years, the chain has maintained its authentic taste without being distant from the average purchasing foodies! Their equation to  success? Quality Ramen + affordable price = a reign of more than 20 years!

My thoughts:

🍜🥢🍚 Rai Rai Ken’s Ramen is one of the best in town! Their Miso Ramen is so on-point that the richness of the taste is undoubtedly satisfying. Like all their Tonkotsu-based soup, the pork bones broth base amplifies the flavor of the dish…and OMG the size of the serving! You can actually share this with a friend! Not bad for a Ramen ranging from 250 to 400 Php!

20160918_195347-copy

🍜🥢🍚 If you are fond of challenges, you ought to try their Garlic Chili Ramen. This is best eaten during cold weather. It has ox tripe and shrimp which are the ideal grubs to pair with hot Ramen!

20160918_194930-copy

🍜🥢🍚 Rai Rai Ken is not only all about Ramen. They also serve Bentos (Japanese lunch box consisting of rice, vegetables, and meat) and Donburis (Japanese rice bowl dish with fish, meat, and vegetables). They are all promising and sumptuous!

20160918_195453

🍜🥢🍚 What is a Japanese Restaurant without sushi and maki? They have it here! Just don’t expect the exotic ones, of course. But if you’re looking for the timeless classics like salmon, kani, and tuna, you will not be disappointed!

Rai Rai Ken can still be found in several locations in Metro Manila. I am very to lucky to be living so near it in Cubao! Try their Ramen today and find out why they are standing strong in the market for more than 2 decades!

Where to Eat Tidbits: Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar

Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

If you are tired of the usual chicken joints, you have got to try Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar! What sets this place apart is that they do not only showcase their signature chicken (which is, by the way, the richest, mouthwatering chicken I have tasted in a long time! You can tell how wide the variation of herbs they’re using as rubs and how they slowly grill their food to goodness!), they also have a number of dips or sauces that will cater everybody’s taste buds.

20180813_195822_090-copy

My thoughts:

🐔🍗🌶️ The dips/sauces are refillable! You have 8 options to choose from, ranging from the oriental Sweet Soy to the daring and fiery Chili Peppa’, which is my favorite!!!

20180813_195645_006-copy

🐔🍗🌶️ At first glance, food may seem pricey but boy are the servings abundant! I had trouble finishing my Chicken and Rib Plate!

20180813_200017_882-copy

🐔🍗🌶️ The interior of the restaurant is Instagram-worthy! I love how they recycled bottles to wall decors. The lighting and fixtures were also beautiful, giving that whole Tex-Mex vibe.

🐔🍗🌶️ They have friendly and accommodating staff. You know how rowdy family dinners turn out! They were patient and enduring to our never ending (and at one point unreasonable) order changes and requests.

20180813_195917_886-copy

🐔🍗🌶️ If it’s your birthday, all you need to do is present a valid I.D. with your birthday stated on it and they will give you–get this–one whole chicken!!! OH MY LORD!!! I couldn’t hide the fact that I was ecstatic over this surprise. It wasn’t my birthday, though. It was my brother’s! When the box was handed to him I just knew that tomorrow’s breakfast will be phenomenal!

🐔🍗🌶️ You have got to check out their desserts! Their El Fuego is a must try! It’s chocolate fudge topped with vanilla ice cream, which were all wrapped inside a cloud of torched marshmallow!

20180813_203618_230-copy

Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar is best for lunch outs and dinners with your family and friends. They have a bar as well where you can give their Beergarita a go and celebrate life and what-not with your amigos!

Araneta Center Cubao Banchetto: Christmas is Here

Finally, it’s that time of the year! The festive air is everywhere: from the television ads to every shop’s display…it’s the season to be jolly!

Araneta Center Cubao is not one to be outdone. With the launch and lighting of the Giant Christmas Tree last November 4, 2016, the Holidays has indeed graced one of Quezon City’s major shopping districts.

20161203_205701

Now, the celebration would not be complete without food, am I correct? What better way to infuse this to the tradition other than setting a Banchetto right at the foot of the Giant Christmas Tree? Last weekend, I have submitted to sweet ambrosia and this you can do too! Here’s a quick guide to help you decide where to go and what to eat at the Banchetto:

20161203_210227

1. Amang’s Grill

20161203_212417

There is a very good reason why I placed this stall on number 1: their food is to die for and, not to mention, super affordable. They serve grilled chicken, grilled pork, seafood, even cold cuts, all ranging from 50.00 Php to 100.00 Php and that is already with rice. Their staff is very commendable as they are very attentive and friendly, plus a very strong recall. They remembered my love for squid and chicharong bulaklak! Since Banchetto is very crowded, they’ll even go the extra mile to find you a seat so you can eat in peace.

20161203_212442

2. Boiling Spices

20161203_212315

This is a home away from home. Boiling Spices serves delectable lutong bahay! Now this is not just your typical ulams but they ensure to add a touch of the Bicolano taste in every dish. Their Kinalas and Laing are my absolute favorite. You can savor every spices in a meal which will make you exclaim: “Truly uragon!”

20161203_212228

3. Bagnet Rice Patong

20161203_205936

If we have a stall from the South, the North also has their own entry. Bagnet Rice Patong promises to captivate your senses with their longganisa and bagnet meals that are cooked as you order. This is to retain the oh-so-mouth-watering crispiness and to further delight you with the sizzling goodness.

20161203_205956

4. King Michael Shawarma

20161203_210054

Up for the strong yet alluring Mediterranean taste? If so, drop by King Michael Shawarma’s stall. You are not just going to be hooked by the big, hefty slab of meat displayed on their stall, you’ll also be amazed by the fancy moves of the staff while they chop and slice as they prepare your meal.

20161203_210121

5. Timplador de Cebu

20161203_210203

Have you every tried eating boneless lechon? If not, you are missing half of your dear life. The tasty goodness cooked meticulously and rolled neatly is something you might want to have in your Noche Buena and Media Noche table. You can have a try and order their rice meal at 120 Php. Better yet, pre-order this Christmas and New Year pleasure!

1

6. Villa’s House of Crispy

20161203_210405

The stall is every binge-eater’s paradise. As the name implies, Villa’s House of Crispy is everything deep fried! Their chicken skin is definitely a win. What’s amazing is that they have this magic on preserving the crunchiness of their food despite being exposed to air for a prolonged period of time. Yummy!

20161203_210429

7. All About Fried

20161203_211300

From kwek-kwek to squidballs, down to chicken skin and lumpia, All About Fried is all complete! Forget running after the kuya who roams your street every afternoon! Visit the stall and satisfy your streetfood cravings!

20161203_211238

8. Smoke and Roast

20161203_211437

20161203_211335

Their food stall is located perpendicular to the giant San Miguel Pale Pilsen. If Amang’s Grill is affordable and heavenly, Smoke and Roast comes really and dangerously close second. If you love isaw, liempo, and lechon belly, then prepare to be thrilled by Smoke and Roast’s food. Their gizzard and liver are two dish worth mentioning! Mouthwatering!

20161203_211424

9. Pizza and Pasta

20161203_211706

Think Sbarro. Think Yellow Cab. Think chunky slabs of this heavenly Italian offering! This stall serves humongous pizza slices and their variety of flavors is anything but limited! They have an extensive menu and with just a bite you’ll notice that their pizza is not just. It has pasta filling! OMG!

20161203_211648

10. Bibingka

20161203_211830

What is Christmas without Bibingka? It’s so hard to imagine this time of the year without this tradition. Now this stall has improved and tweaked the official Christmas kakanin to fit every millenial’s taste. They have buko bibingka, leche flan bibingka, and the ever coveted Nutella Bibingka.

20161203_211903

11. Red Wings

20161203_211949

I usually veer away from buffalo wings as the size of serving does not always give justice to the price. However, the buffalo wings of Red Wings is different. It is absolutely generous! You can even smell the rub from afar! One thing that stopped me in my tracks, though, is their unusually large patty. Fat, juicy, and, I kid you not, distracting to the senses. I will bet you a 100 pesos if this does not satisfy your palate!

20161203_212007

20161203_211934

12. Piper’s Pan

20161203_213119

For those done with their savory endeavors, you may be like me, craving for sweets. Piper’s Pan is the solution to this yearning. They promise to thrill your taste buds with their scrumptious and rich cakes all at 3 for 100 Php.

20161203_213055

13. Del Barro’s Grill

20161203_213555

Now this stall serves your usual Banchetto food. I try to stay away from them since they are really hostile for a food business entity. I was taking pictures of their food while deciding on what to order when the woman on my not-so-good photo demanded to know why I was taking pictures and what it’s for. When I told her that it is for a blog she asked me to leave as she has a lot of customers who will “buy”. Ok then. Very rude and disgusting customer service.

14. Bumble Tea Place

20161203_222230

It is a Banchetto fact that sodas and bottled water are the only drinks available. Thank goodness to Bumble Tea Place, there is option for variation. They have milk tea and fruit tea. A unique way to go is to try their Pulpy Aloe Juice. I didn’t, though. I guess I was too caught up with their Strawberry Chill Tea! Ever tasted red tea? This is waaaay better.

15. Coco Vida

Another natural way to go is to have fruit shakes. This may be the reason why their stall is being swarmed by people all the time. A definite must-try is their Mango Graham Juice.

16. Tuna Town

20161203_211529

It is so very easy to acquire a significant rise of blood pressure whenever you visit a food park. Thank goodness for stalls like Tuna Town, which opted to serve an alternative option of fish! Their bangus is big and generous and if you are not really a fan of seafood, they can always serve you the usual inihaw na liempo.

The Araneta Center Banchetto is one divine stop for your full-flavored adventures. For Cubao dwellers, such as I, isn’t this an inexpensive yet rewarding way to celebrate the season? Have an eternal affair with good food and start your journey here. Find out what I am raving about! Don’t forget to tell us your experience on the comments section.

Ramada Manila Central: Business x Relaxation

Sometimes the best  vacations are those which doesn’t require you to leave town. Yeah, I know this may sound like a lame excuse from someone who’s almost out of budget but I kid you not when I say that I found this staycation package unlike no other!

I was browsing through the net and was surprised to see that Ramada Manila Central in Binondo offers hotel accommodations with Binondo Wok Tour. This happened when our reservation on a resort out of town was cancelled and we were desperate to look for an alternative. Luckily for us, Sydney Tan, the Senior Corporate and Marketing Manager, patiently assisted us by letting us know that the said deal was offered exclusively through DealGrocer (a voucher buying site) and we can do backward booking instead.

Ramada

We hurriedly arranged for the payment and sent the bank forms to ensure that everything would be set by the next day. I would like to take this opportunity as well to send a big, fat KUDOS to Ms. Tan for helping us out despite the time constraints and we also would like to apologize for putting you through this.

Giddy and excited, we showed up at the hotel earlier than the check-in time the next day for our Binondo Wok Tour (to read about this delightful field trip, click HERE). The receptionist offered to house our luggage until we returned and we were quite overwhelmed by their hospitality and friendliness despite our usual rugged, casual look. We were treated without discrimination, which is rare on hotels.

When we arrived after, we were assisted to our room and they sent our bags shortly. We were even given a phone call just to ensure that we were settled in just fine. Our room was commendable! It was an executive room and it was clean and elegant. I was even surprised that the view from our room was that of the Binondo Church! I went around, snapping away and ensuring that I document the room while it’s still untouched. My partner, on the other hand, flopped in the King Bed and decided to nap.

The room has an office area where you can work during your stay (not advisable!) and it has a lazy chair where you can just sink away and indulge on your favorite TV show. They also offer free coffee and tea, and bottled water which I immediately took advantage of.

20160227_13000320160227_130130

Their toilet and bath is a whole new paradise! The hotel does not have a pool but our room has a bath tub fully equipped with a heater just in case you’re like me who despise cold water. Their bathroom accessories were all too chic and complete from your usual toothbrush to their mini sewing pack! It was too good to be true!  Their shower area is also nestled on the other end of the bathroom, separated by a glass cubicle to avoid the messy, wet chaos shower areas are prone of.

As soon as my partner woke up, we went out and had our dinner. We were told that if we wanted to get our money’s worth when it comes to food, the Estero Fast Food is the best place to be. Just to set your expectation, the place isn’t for the delicate. If you are the type who does not get bothered by the location and simply cares about the food quality, then this is for you. The place was named Estero for the obvious reason that it’s situated near an inlet. Estero is Spanish for marsh, by the way, and the scent of the water can be pretty strong on rainy days. Good thing it wasn’t raining that night!

20160227_18563920160227_194714

We ordered Beef in Satay Sauce and Scallops in Oyster Sauce. No words can describe the flavor! Each serving is good for two and costs no more than 300! We also ordered Yang Chow Rice to top it all of. We were sooo satisfied and to think that our bill never crossed the 1000 Php mark! Free tea was also available to wash all the food down.

After our hearty meal, we walked around looking for good coffee. We passed by Cafe France and Starbucks but decided that we ought to try something far from usual. Cafe Mezzanine was our best bet. It was located next to our hotel on the second floor of Mr. Ube

What sets this cafe apart is that Cafe Mezzanine was originally established to pay tribute to our fearless fire fighters of Binondo. The place originally served as their lounge where they can relax, have good coffee, and eat their stress away. Another cool fact is that all revenues from this cafe is donated to the Binondo Paco Fire Search and Rescue Brigade! Near the entrance, you can even view their plaques of bravery and newspaper clippings that proves how valiant they are.

If you are to end up here one day, please do try their Iced Coffee Jelly and Black Forest Coffee. Aside from it being meticulously presented, the taste is something worth raving about!

The evening was too good to end so we took advantage of the hotel’s lounge and had our usual late night talk. We marveled at the artsy lamps and how elegant the place is, although not that big. The concierge were all polite and greeted us whenever they pass by. They also didn’t miss the chance to ask if we were enjoying our stay.

Come the morning, we headed to News Cafe and had our buffet breakfast. Although the selection is not that extensive, the dishes were cooked well and were very much scrumptious. They have siomai, of course! They also have an egg station where I simply adored the chef for making my omelette moist, just the way I preferred it to be!

20160228_093057

We were impressed by the interior of the place, too. It wasn’t that spacious but every corner would have a classy piece you’d most likely love looking at. We took the seat next to the window and chowed down our breakfast.

When it was time to leave, unexpectedly, rain poured and we were too late for the shuttle heading to Mall of Asia. We saw that there were 2 umbrellas in our closet and embarrassingly asked the front desk personnel if we can have one so we don’t end up getting wet. She instantly approved and we were so grateful to this act of kindness!

Overall, we had such a precious time staying in Ramada Manila Central. If I would be asked if I would stay here even without the Binondo Wok Tour, I will not bat an eyelash and instantly say yes. The hotel offers so much comfort! Whether you wish to stay here for relaxation or for business, Ramada Manila Central ensures that you get your needs accommodated. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

Artsy Cafe: Of Restaurant Themes and Good Coffee

There are many things to love about Artsy Cafe–It’s a celebration of good doodles, oodles, foodles! …Excuse my hopeful play on words…

Not just a treat to the stomach, this Maginhawa treasure is also a feast for the senses. Sure, we had a hard time getting a seat since we visited during the restaurant’s peak hour, but it only goes to show how much of a hit the place is!

11276215_10206450467041434_736257191_n

Artsy Cafe is a living proof that you don’t need elegant looking furniture to make it big in the industry. All you need is sheer creativity and a sense of bringing your theme together to pull it off. I adore the simple framework of the chairs and tables. While most were made of wood, some were made of steel, and gave that impression of a garden playground. The place was comfortable and the plants surrounding the al fresco area is such a nice touch.

When you step inside the restaurant, you’ll notice how everything is just one big canvas. The walls were doodled on and there’s one side where empty jars and other containers were distinctively displayed portraying artistry, though in an organized chaos. It was happening all at the same time and it was beautiful! You’ll never get tired of staring.

A must try would be there dessert selection. Their Mango Pudding is worth your palette’s precious time! And if you are a fan of good coffee,  I suggest you check out their array of coffee beans. If you are unfamiliar with them, the waiters will be more than happy to describe the flavor to you. I tried the Iced Arabica Coffee and it was strong, even for iced. Just don’t let the ice melt and dilute your coffee 😦

It’s such a sad lot that we were not able to have our dinner there. I guess the best way to beat the crowd is call in for reservations! I can’t wait to try their Fillet Mignon since I heard tons of good feedback about it.

We’ll keep you posted!

How to go to Artsy Cafe:

  1. From Cubao Yale, ride the jeep heading to SM Fairview – 7.50 Php
  2. Disembark at Puregold Kalayaan Ave.
  3. Ride the trike and ask to be dropped off at 36 Maginhawa.

**Artsy Cafe is located at 36 Maginhawa Street, UP Village, Diliman, Quezon City. For reservations, please call (02) 4349487.

Java Jazz: Coffee and the Local Artistry

Art and Coffee go particularly well with each other– this is the reason why Java Jazz is such a hit!

IMG_20121218_123009

To prove my point, let me just say that most of the museums I’ve been to has an in-house coffee shop where you can lounge and digest the abstract epiphanies you have just experienced.

IMG_20121218_123307

This one is different, though. Java Jazz is a coffee shop that houses art made by the locals. Along the Tagaytay-Calamba road, this simple yet alluring cafe is bound to mesmerize you by its simplicity in design, yet distinct taste of craft.

We were pleasantly surprised when we checked the menu. Their coffee-based beverages were all less than 100 Php! Wonders would definitely never cease as we read it further and saw the Java Specials for Two. You are given a choice between a) 2 cups Kapeng Pinoy + Chocolate Coffee Cake; b) 2 cups Kapeng Pinoy + 4 pcs Pandesal + Quesong Puti c) 2 cups Kapeng Pinoy + Malagkit with Latik…they are all for 199.00 Php per combination! I had a very hard time deciding! I eventually ended up with choice A though, since I just couldn’t resist the moistness of Chocolate Cakes!

I was also satisfied when our order was served. It was a hearty and generous serving for that price!

IMG_20121218_123111

After consuming our merienda over a good intellectual exchange, we decided to look at the art displays closely. It was a comfort knowing that the kids of this generation still rely on the traditional visual art of canvas x paint to express themselves. It was an amusing discovery that for them, art is not just Photoshop filters but also paint brushes. Yes, some art works featured that time were from children!

There was also an area for crafts. I adored the recycled products that kids made to aid their schooling such as notebooks, bags, and bookmarks. There is hope for humanity!!!

We left the cafe feeling all lighthearted and contented. We did have our usual doze of coffee but added to that, we had a spark of hope brought about the art that we just witnessed. Hooray for the locals of Tagaytay!!!

**Java Jazz Coffee is located at 442 Tagaytay-Calamba Road, Sungay West,Tagaytay City. You can check their ZOMATO page for more information 🙂

Papa Diddi’s Ice Cream Company: From Sweet to the Exotic

Wouldn’t it be great if we can make any ice cream flavor? Not just the conventional Chocolate, Vanilla, or the high end  Double Dutch and Dutch Speculoos. We’re talking about Mango Ginger, Davao Meets Bicol (Spicy!), and my all-time favorite, Sweet Basil!

Now what if I tell you that there is an ice cream parlor that has this innovation put to action?

12278141_10204848570605006_722539896_n

Situated on the streets of Maginhawa, Papa Diddi’s boasts its unique ice cream flavors that dares challenge the norm. They are known to turn the impossible to actuality. We’re talking about flavors that tease the imagination and would make you ask, “How is this even possible?”

Whenever me and my partner visit this ice cream heaven, I would have such a hard time deciding which to order. I usually go for challenging flavors such as anything with Star Anise and Farm Cheese.

If you are torn between flavors and are having a hard time deciding, they offer free taste on a small wooden spoon. My personal advice: taste each flavor first and make your decision worthwhile!

12272607_10204848570445002_441758243_n

Yes! You can take them home!

I also adore the interior of the shop. On the wall, right behind the counter, you will see a poster relating the origin of the company. This is such a nice touch to the ice cream parlor! It actually gives an atmosphere and impression of the brand’s sense of family.

12283158_10204848562524804_1061771034_n

Papa Diddi’s also makes smart use of their quaint store space. No wall is unadorned and everywhere you look, there’s something to marvel on. Take the lights, for instance. They have books as lamp shades!

Dessert shops need to be interesting and the pressure on having a well-established theme is amongst the business owners. Papa Diddi’s is not an exception. However, they made is crystal clear that this Ice Cream Parlor is all about Paul Perez’s (the owner) father, the Papa Diddi’s love for family and good ice cream!

How to go to Papa Diddi’s Ice Cream Company:

  1. From Alimall Cubao, ride the jeepney going to SM Fairview and ask to be alighted at V.Luna – 7.50 Php
  2. From V. Luna, walk to the first street and ride the trike. Tell the driver that you will be going to 168 Maginhawa, near Crepeman -17.oo Php

**Papa Diddi’s Ice Cream Company is located at 168 Maginhawa Street, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City. For more information, LIKE their FACEBOOK PAGE and check them out on ZOMATO.

The Hideout Cafe: Simple, Classy, and A Cup Full of Values

Coffee has never been this simply good.

11414589_10204004546624934_1410644737_n

While other people would go for designer coffee and tea, it’s sometimes fulfilling to love and prefer your simplified, traditional, and basic coffee concoction. This is what I loved about The Hideout Cafe. Coffee at this place need not be complicated to be appreciated. They’re definitely flavorful and never compromised.

Located along the trendy street of Malingap, Teacher’s Village, a busy eye might miss this cute shack. But lo and behold, once you’ve uncovered this treasure! As soon as you step in the coffee shop, it’s like you’re transported to an Indie Cafe in New York or Reno! The black and gray graffiti over a white wall under the glare of a bulb definitely sets the mood. What I love most about it is that we’re not talking about senseless graffiti claiming to have a deeper meaning. What they have are positive thoughts, quotes, and illustration that will make your day brighter.

They also have an awesome menu! They serve heavenly breakfast sets of pancakes and french toasts! I would suggest you try Caramel and Banana as it is superb! Better try their pasta menu, as well. Pair it with smoothies for a holistic experience!

11358650_10204004548104971_558570366_n

And as I have consistently reviewed, the ambiance and food are nothing but if the staff is awful. Here at this place you can find the most accommodating and friendliest staff along Malingap! The service does not end after food has been laid on the table. They would ask you how do you find your order, even if it’s just coffee! We felt important and cared for…thank you!!!

11414630_10204004547464955_1273031485_n

The Hideout Cafe is definitely worth visiting. If you are the type who would rather read a good book in a comfortable and secluded place, this spot is just for you. I adore their tag line: “God being our hiding place.” Indeed!!!

How to go to The Hideout Cafe:

  1. At Alimall, Cubao, ride the jeep heading to SM Fairview – 7.50 Php
  2. Alight at UniOil at Malingap St. along Kalayaan Ave.
  3. Walk along the street until you see the cute and artsy shack!

Belle de Jour Loot: Olay Products = Love

Growing up, I have always been exposed to my mom’s beauty care supplies. We’re talking about facial wash, moisturizer, anti-aging creams, toner, and a whole lot more! Among the hoard, one product stood out. I could clearly remember the logo and what it was then known as: “Oil of OLAY”.

The curious kid that I was, I used to always ask my mom what it was for and why she kept on using it. She would always patiently answer me with “To make you beautiful.” At that time, I seriously believed it was a magic potion of some sort. Who knew that after decades would I only find out it’s actual use?

I was one of the lucky few who received a mesh bag with 2 of Olay’s newest products to hit the market: the OLAY Deep Moisture Body Wash with Honey and OLAY Total Effects 7 in 1 Day Cream. Being a Bella, enjoying gifts like this one has always been a pleasure. Having packages like this right at my mail was, as usual, a satisfying surprise…and to think that the product is OLAY?! Somehow, someway, it was what my Mom said that actually stuck. Olay will make me more beautiful ❤❤❤!

Using the Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Day Cream is very practical. Rather than purchasing different products to moisturize, exfoliate, protect, and improve your skin’s condition, this one promises to be your all around solution.

As for the Olay Deep Moisture Body Wash, this simply promises you elegant and radiant skin for up to 24 hours, despite the scorching tropical weather. I’ve used it and it’s one hell of a product! The scent is just to die for!

I would absolutely recommend these products. Thank you so much Belle de Jour and continue being awesome as always! As for Olay, you have been one of the top brands for decades now and I can clearly see why!

Pet Express’ Doggie Pool Party and Pet Buffet: Summer Get Together!

We’re always present whenever there’s a PetExpress event. For us, this is a good opportunity to expose our furkids to other furpals. I could only imagine how hard it must be for them seeing the same faces over and over that these get-togethers help a whole lot.

Last May 23, 2015, Pet Express organized a Doggie Pool Party and Pet Buffet at SM North Edsa Sky Garden. We decided that instead of bringing the tandem, Jambalaya and Bulgogi, why not make this Mustard’s debut? So off we went!

Mustard was a bit shy at first. After we have registered him, he resolved to just hide underneath the tables. Of course, this made people laugh. His twisted charisma was all over the place!

We waited for him to adjust and finally mingle with everyone. This is a big deal for us because Mustard is our great Parvo Survivor. We love him to the bones and we know that his courage and strength is unequaled. Good thing, a Dalmatian by the name of Nikkie arrived and played with everyone. Her aura was inviting and friendly and everyone joined in her ruckus!

Our little Mustard opened up a lot. He approached other furkids and encouraged them to play. He was running all over the place! We were even asked by several pet parents if they can have a photo with our little firecracker. Of course we said yes!!!! This is me being proud –>  ヾ(≧∇≦)〃ヾ(≧∇≦)〃

The Pet Express Management Team handed us food for our furkids and they were wolfed down immediately. We were also eyeing the pool since I know that this proves to be one of the toughest challenges for every Frenchie.

We tried dipping Mustard onto the pool and we were not surprised how much he despised the water. No swimming for Mustard since this day (also thanks Pet Express for the towel ❤ )!

The day was fun-filled. We sincerely thank the Pet Express SM North Management for making my furball feel welcomed. Thank you to Nikkie, Pulot, Winkle, Peanut, Chichi 1, Chichi 2, and the brown Poodle (sorry I forgot to ask his name 😦 ) for playing along Mustard and to all pet parents, cheers to us!!!
